Terhen is an old Finnish word for “fog”, which sums up the cold, bleak, barren sound of this excellent newcomer. The band’s debut carries on the atmosphere of countrymen like Shape Of Despair and Unholy. Features a variety of vocal styles (male and female), violins and synths, while remaining as crushingly heavy as you would expect from a snail-paced doom band from Finland. Terhen es una antigua palabra finlandesa para “niebla”, que resume el sonido frío, desolador y árido de este excelente recién llegado. El debut de la banda continúa la atmósfera de compatriotas como Shape Of Despair y Unholy. Presenta una variedad de estilos vocales (masculinos y femeninos), violines y sintetizadores, sin dejar de ser tan aplastantemente pesado como cabría esperar de una banda finlandesa de ritmo tortuoso.
