Pestilence Under the Lies, released in January 2024 through Australis Records, is nine tracks of old-school death metal that draws from the same deep wells as the genre’s foundational acts — crushing riffs, gutting rhythms, and a production courtesy of Ricardo Rosson at Rockson Records that delivers both impact and clarity without sacrificing the raw edge the style demands. The album moves across diverse terrain: Premature Death and Seasons Into Fire open with purpose; Survival Instinct and Blood Wars press the attack; Guerreros Ancestrales and Inocencia Masacrada — sung in Spanish — demonstrate the band’s rootedness in the local and regional metal tradition; and Horrifying Journey closes out the record.
