Santiago’s Hostile Faith announced themselves in 2018 with this debut EP — five tracks of raw, direct death/thrash with roots in the American school of the late eighties and early nineties, recorded, mixed, and mastered at Mazazor Studio in Santiago. The five originals — Ripped Souls, Strike Back, the self-titled Hostile Faith, Death’s Vengeance, and Wrath’s Delight — move at the pace of a band that knows exactly what it wants: blunt riffing, aggressive vocals, and zero concession to fashion. Artwork by Ignacio Soto of Evol. The Thanatology Productions CD edition — limited to 200 copies — adds the bonus track Unholy Beast, making it the definitive physical version of the release. The cassette edition was issued by Dystopian Dogs (Michigan, USA) in blue, limited to 150 copies. Lineup on this recording: Ariel Chandía (vocals/guitars), Nicolás Montenegro (lead guitars), Sebastián González (bass), Álvaro Martínez (drums). A hard debut from the Santiago underground, built for headbangers and no one else.
