From the cold south of Chile — born between Concepción and Temuco in 2017 — Concilivm is the work of exactly two members, known only as A and Ω, and their debut EP The Veiled Enigma is one of the most striking first statements to emerge from the Chilean death metal underground in recent years. Originally recorded between the 8th and 9th moon of 2017 and mixed and mastered by Victor LR at Backline Studios, the EP was first released on tape by Von Frost Records and on CD by Dawning Septic Productions in early 2018, before receiving its Chilean CD edition through Apocalyptic Productions in 2019. Six tracks across approximately twenty-five uncompromising minutes of blackened death metal that absorbs the violence and mysticism of the early ’90s American and Scandinavian death metal traditions and processes them through something unmistakably its own — downtuned guitars, snare-heavy drumwork, deep cavernous growls, tremolo-drenched riffing, and the occasional haunting solo that cuts through the darkness like a cold blade. Tracks like Dark Zenith, Perpetual Fire, and Breaking in Return deliver relentless assault; Ars Magna allows a brief moment of melodic respite; and the CD version adds Epistemology of Darkness as an additional closer with a more occult blackened flavour. A band that devoured everything the genre had to offer and rebuilt it in their own image — raw, suffocating, and completely genuine.

Desde el frío sur de Chile — nacidos entre Concepción y Temuco en 2017 — Concilivm es el trabajo de exactamente dos miembros, conocidos únicamente como A y Ω, y su EP debut The Veiled Enigma es una de las declaraciones iniciales más impactantes surgidas del underground del death metal chileno en años recientes. Grabado originalmente entre la octava y novena luna de 2017, mezclado y masterizado por Victor LR en Backline Studios, el EP fue publicado primero en cassette por Von Frost Records y en CD por Dawning Septic Productions a inicios de 2018, antes de recibir su edición chilena en CD a través de Apocalyptic Productions en 2019. Seis temas en aproximadamente veinticinco intransigentes minutos de death metal ennegrecido que absorbe la violencia y misticismo de las tradiciones del death metal americano y escandinavo de principios de los ’90 y los procesa a través de algo inconfundiblemente propio — guitarras desafinadas, batería de caja prominente, gruñidos cavernosos, riffs empapados de tremolo y el ocasional solo inquietante que corta la oscuridad como una hoja fría.
