Bulnes, Ñuble. A city of barely ten thousand souls in the Bio-Bío region that has produced, against all reasonable expectation, one of Chile’s most dedicated and prolific black/thrash metal operations. Blasfemia is the solitary work of Niphaviroz — instruments, strings, drums, vocals, and the entire lyrical and occult vision — a one-person force of raw primitivism operating far from any scene, entirely on its own terms. Following the Nocturnal Astral Visions full-length released through Tribulación Productions in 2018, El Aposento arrives in 2021 as an EP that continues the band’s assault against the Trinity in the spirit of Sarcófago, Destruction, Darkthrone, and Grotesque: turbulent atmosphere, thundering chords, bestial speed, and occult mysticism rooted in the same ancestral, solitary vision that has always defined this project. The CD includes as bonus the complete Retribución demo (2020) — three tracks (Temfioth (Instrumental), Esencia, Marchita Existencia) recorded, mixed, and mastered by Mauricio Contreras, Nicolás Fariña, and Víctor LR at Diliuva Estudio, Bulnes, during October and December of 2019, with artwork by Daniel Hermosilla. Underground to the core, and proudly Chilean.
