Sabadell, Catalonia. Four filthy bastards with one mission: maximum ugliness, zero compromise. Insulters formed in 2008 with an apparent death wish aimed squarely at the entire modern metal scene, and their debut full-length We Are the Plague delivers on every threatening promise. Eleven tracks of blackened thrash and old school death metal recorded and mixed by Javi Félez at his cult Moontower Studios in Barcelona — the same man behind the boards for Graveyard, Ataraxy, and Körgull the Exterminator — and the result is a slab of reverb-drenched, ice-cold metal that sounds like it was conjured from a rehearsal space in 1985 and hasn’t been cleaned up since. We Are the Plague, Dynamite the Mosque, Curse the Sun for Rising, Lucifer Say Die, Children of Judas, Burn the Church — the titles alone declare war. The music is equally unrepentant: ripping tempos, throat-shredding vocals, and riffs that worship at the altar of early Sodom, Venom, Motörhead, and the first Death LP, with the blackened viciousness of Aura Noir and Nocturnal Breed woven throughout. Short, sharp, and utterly devastating at just over half an hour. Artwork by César Valladares. Presented in a killer 4-panel giant 7″-sized CD digipak limited to 1,000 copies — a sleeper hit of the Spanish underground that deserves a much wider audience.

We Are the Plague, Dynamite the Mosque, Curse the Sun for Rising, Lucifer Say Die, Children of Judas, Burn the Church — los títulos solos declaran la guerra.
