A union between two extreme metal acts from opposite ends of the Hispanic world: Peru’s Hadez — one of South America’s most ancient and unclassifiable extreme metal bands, active since 1989 and a foundational presence alongside Pentagram (Chile), Sarcófago, and Parabellum in the continent’s first wave of violent underground metal — and God’s Funeral, the doom/death quartet from Tarragona, Catalonia, formed in 2016. Seven tracks and approximately forty minutes that function as both archaeological excavation and present-tense declaration. Hadez open with four re-recordings spanning their entire career — Vomit/Sodom & Gomor (1989 demo Altar of Sacrifice), the studio-fused Drunk with the Saint’s Blood + Even If You Die a Thousand Times (drawing from Aquelarre, 1993), Destruction Nightmare (Doomsday: The Death Rides, 2009), and Caligula (Morituri te Salutant, 2014) — all re-recorded at Eco Estudios in May 2018, delivering primitive, lurching extreme metal where Black Sabbath gravity meets early South American chaos. God’s Funeral answer with three tracks of sepulchral doom/death — Malson, Marcha de los Sin Rostro I, and Olorant la Mort, the latter two with lyrics in Catalan — slow-moving, saturated with bass distortion, and deeply bleak in the tradition of early Paradise Lost, Asphyx, and My Dying Bride. A document of underground cult devotion from two bands with nothing in common except the absolute sincerity of their commitment.

Una unión entre dos actos de metal extremo de extremos opuestos del mundo hispano: el peruano Hadez — una de las bandas de metal extremo más antiguas e inclasificables de Sudamérica, activos desde 1989 y presencia fundacional junto a Pentagram (Chile), Sarcófago y Parabellum en la primera ola del metal underground violento del continente — y God’s Funeral, el cuarteto doom/death de Tarragona, Cataluña, formados en 2016. Siete temas y aproximadamente cuarenta minutos que funcionan tanto como excavación arqueológica como declaración en tiempo presente. Hadez abre con cuatro regrabaciones que abarcan toda su carrera — Vomit/Sodom & Gomor (demo de 1989 Altar of Sacrifice), la fusión en estudio de Drunk with the Saint’s Blood + Even If You Die a Thousand Times (rescatando de Aquelarre, 1993), Destruction Nightmare (Doomsday: The Death Rides, 2009) y Caligula (Morituri te Salutant, 2014) — todo regrabado en Eco Estudios en mayo de 2018, entregando un metal extremo primitivo y tambaleante donde la gravedad del Black Sabbath se encuentra con el caos sudamericano temprano. God’s Funeral responde con tres temas de doom/death sepulcral — Malson, Marcha de los Sin Rostro I y Olorant la Mort, estos últimos con letras en catalán — de movimiento lento, saturados de distorsión de bajos y profundamente sombríos en la tradición del Paradise Lost, Asphyx y My Dying Bride tempranos. Un documento de devoción al culto underground de dos bandas que no tienen nada en común excepto la sinceridad absoluta de su convicción.
